GENERAL INFORMATION

·      DartConnect (I’ll abbreviate it as “DC” throughout this document) is a scoring app for dart leagues.

·      DC gives us the ability to create schedules automatically. 

·      DC gives us the ability to use Advanced Match Builder to duplicate QCEDL’s match format.

·      DC will help us to avoid having to call in scores and send in score sheets.

·      DC keeps stat information for all divisions in the league which will help the Board get teams into divisions.

 

HISTORY

·      2023/24 1^st Half – Division 1 utilized DartConnect

·      2023/24 2^nd Half – Division 1 and 2 utilized DartConnect

·      2024/25 1^st Half – Divisions 1-5 utilized DartConnect

·      2024/25 2^nd Half – Divisions 1-10 are planned to utilize DartConnect

·      2025/26 1^st Half – All divisions are now utilizing DartConnect

 

 

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

·      Tablet

·      Tablet Holder or Stand

·      Wifi at the Bar or phone personal hot spot

·      At least one user (preferably the captain) on your team with a DC email and login

o   You can go to www.dartconnect.com and click Join Now to sign up for your FREE guest account or Premium Account.

o   NOTE: a DC guest account is all that is needed to play in QCEDL, but if you want to get a premium DC account for $24/year it allows you to play on the app outside of QCEDL and you can also play against a computer opponent.

§  If you click on your team name on the right hand side it will show your individual team schedule. 

§  If you have a calendar program on your phone (or computer) you can sync the schedule with your calendar from this link.

§  You can also set email reminders for the day of your match that will remind you where you are playing

QCEDL CAPTAIN INSTRUCTIONS

·      DC can be set up to utilize 2 different ways for captains to input the lineups.

o   Original way has some draw backs like having to pick all players then pick them again in order.

o   The new way is via Express Player Lineups which allows the captains to also have the ability to enter their lineups on the DC App on the tablet or from my.dartconnect.com on their phone.  We tested this last year and after working with DC on some bugs it worked out great so this will be the main setup for all divisions moving forward.

SCORESHEETS

·      We have created pre-printed scoresheets for each team utilizing DC

·      Players are set up on the scoresheets in the order they were listed on your QCEDL Registration Form.

o   NOTE: if you want your people listed in a particular order please put them in that order on your Registration Form.

·      Once we create your scoresheets we will post them to the QCEDL Website at this link

·      Please only use these scoresheets to avoid confusion since these will match the order players were set up in DC.

·      Since you are going to utilize DC this season you will no longer need to mail in your scoresheets.  I would recommend that you keep a copy in case any issues arise.

 

QCEDL UTILIZATION

·      There is no longer a need to record your scores on the QCEDL website, call in your score or send in your paperwork.

·      Just ensure all sets are recorded and saved in DC after your match.

 

TIPS FOR UTILIZING DC APP

·      Remember to Save the match on DC at the end of the league night.

·      In ALL games please record the correct winning dart via the Flights that show up

o   Eg. if they hit the out (or finished a Cricket game) on the 2nd dart hit the #2 flight

·      In Cricket please score the 3 darts they throw

o   If they throw 2 singles and a miss hit the single, single (NOT the “D” button).

o   If they throw 3 singles then record single, single, single (NOT the “T” button).

o   If they throw a triple and 2 singles then record T, single, single.

·      In ’01 make sure to hit MISS on missed ins and/or outs

·      Make sure to enter all players for both teams via the instructions link provided above
